Imagine you work at a steakhouse and in an 8 hour shift you take care of just 15 tables. If each table on average spends $100, assuming a standard 20% tip you get $300. That's $37.50 an hour basically doing nothing besides refilling water and carrying food 8 meters from the kitchen to the table.
