Rice. Bread is for the occasional sandwich. We do eat the Malaysian Indian roti canai for brekkie, which is a type of flat bread eaten with curry or dhal.

Ordinary Japanese call bread "pan" like French people.
I don't know the reason.
>>
Yes but only rye bread, white bread is only good if it's freshly baked and I can't be bothered to go to a bakery every day

What are American breads usually made with..?
>>
>>220431717
It could have butter.
>>
>>220431386
ok that surprise me.

>>220431717
i had once tasted white bread in the usa, still remember how fucking sweet it was.
>>
>>220431717
>Plant-based vegan bread is generally made without animal products like dairy, eggs, or honey, relying on flour, water, yeast, and salt. Common vegan-friendly types include sourdough, ciabatta, baguette, focaccia, and Ezekiel bread. Many store-bought loaves are inherently plant-based, but checking labels for honey, whey, or eggs is advised.

I used to bake my own bread and eat it everyday. But now I don't have an oven in Japan. There bread sold here is shitty so I only buy it if I see some okayish bread at bakeries. Also there are just too few things you can put on bread in Japan (significantly lesser variety of cheese, meats, jams and other things that are good on bread). So now I eat bread less than I used to. But today and yesterday I had some kind of dark sandwich bread with cream cheese, chives and salt.

Thus sayeth Yakutsk bernd.

It is alive tho
>>
>>220431806
As someone who knows something about baking I don't understand why Americans refer to "sourdough" as a type of bread. Why do you put it in the same line with words like ciabatta and baguette? It is a concept from a totally different category. Sourdough is not a type of bread, it is a type of leavening, something you use for fermentation. Usually sourdough is understood as a counterpart to commercial yeast. Any type of leavened bread can be sourdough: a burger bun, a sandwich loaf, a brioche, a pizza, english muffins, literally anything.
>>
>>220427644
So your country is really named "Ja-bread"?
>>
>>220431467
thats disgusting isnt it

>>220431975

I eat bread everyday and I'm fit. Don't eat white bread, there are many dozens of flours and combinations you can try.
>>220431242
Same it's pretty easy. Do you use a "cocotte"?
>>
>>220433156

>>
>>220427103
What's bread, precious?
>>
>>220427103
No, I stopped eating bread and never looking back
Protein heavy meats, legumes, spinach, broccoli, cheese
>>
No, mostly because you're putting yeast in your belly.
Same reason I avoid yogurt, cheese, mushrooms etc in large quantites. It's not an issue in small servings obviously.
>>
>>220427103
Well I am white, so of course I eat bread.
>>
Take a wild guess.
