Muslims don't believe Jesus was crucified. In fact, the Quran says that "it was made to appear so" that he was crucified, but he wasn't.How did Allah accomplish this? Did he use a hologram? A body double? Mass hypnosis?

muhammad was not formally literate and his knowledge of judaism/christianity/jerusalem comes from oral accounts, which were a primary means of conveying information at the time, and also how hadiths used to be transmitted until they were written down (information used to be shared by travellers through trade routes, etc.) each hadith contains a chain of narration (isnad) that goes >this guy that this guy said that aisha said that the prophet said so who knows what muhammad heard about jesus and how the story changed in those six centuries
