The Catholic Church had their chance and they blew it. Repeatedly. Protestantism shaped the modern world. The MODERN world. I'm not even religious and I appreciate it far more than Catholicism. Every move the Catholic Church made was straight out of a conman's playbook. I don't like religion, but at least Protestantism was a step in the right direction.
