I'm an engineer in Germany with good salary (100k€ per year), two kids and a wife that is half German, half Japanese but she maintained to keep her Japanese citizenship despite growing up here. By that we could easily move there. Kids speak both languages native level, I'm doing my best to learn every day. At first it was no option to me as I'm not too much of a weeb and I enjoy my 32 paid day offs and good salary. But now calculating, etc. The money difference wouldn't be that notable. Less payment in Japan but also less taxes. 32 day offs vs 20 day offs. And every year life in Germany becomes incredible more expensive. I'm paying double in the supermarket now compared to pre-covid. Gasoline is over 2€ per liter now despite 60% of it going to the state. They don't want you to drive/own a car while the trains totally suck. Now they won't to take away the family insurance, meaning my wife needs to pay 400-500€ per month herself. So even less savings. Traveling is impossible now, even cheapish italy got such a price increase over the years that we can't afford. But it's all kinda manageable if only there would be some positive perspectives into the future. But everything in Europe just goes downhill nonstop. Demographics are incredible fucked. Healthcare gets worse. Higher crimerates. etc. Life is just stressful.

Now Japan isn't all green obviously, they have issues too. But at least their society is much more stable. They get their oil. You can hop on a 100€ plane flight to Okinawa and enjoy a tropical beach weekend to calm your nerves. Healthier food, better doctors, incredible nature, perfect infrastructure, good education, safe. On the other hand China with a potential Taiwan conflict just around the corner. And Northkorea/Russia too.

What would you do?

there are too many germans in my neighborhood and they dont even try speaking japanese

>Moving to a country with a declining economy just to earn half of what you earn in your country(and every year the difference will grow bigger)

Du kannst nicht einfach sowas sagen und dann keine pics posten digga

Not worth it
Immigration only makes sense if you move somewhere with a sensibly higher quality of life.

Yeah both economies are kinda shit currently but I see Japan to be more stable and with higher promises in future. Like the chip development they are planing for Hokkaido. At least they are trying. Germans just sell everything straighthand to China.

Payment is roughly 30% less in Japan but with less taxes and lower health insurance costs. Then add lower VAT, the freedom of not needing a car thanks to their infrastructure (saving thousands each year), free family healthcare which they are planing to take away in Germany, house prices are a 1/3rd compared to Germany, properties are cheaper incl taxes, much lower costs of groceries, cheaper vacation trips, etc. etc. All in all I would argue that we can safe more money living in Japan than in Germany.

Yeah you weebs are insane, that country is going to shit faster than any other country right now except iran and israel because of their little number, worst thing is that you are a foreigner so you will get the extra side of the shitcake.

You obviously are a weeb so even if you are eating shit there you will be happy for a time so go ahead

2 and 5. Older one has been there several times including a longer stay at their granparents. Not easy but I guess in the end they would appreciate it.

Then I think you should go, better sooner than later. You're likely gonna be worse off financially but I think it's worth it
