This and checked. There hasn't been been a good decade since.
>>
80s was more unique. 90s is just the final period before music and movies went to shit.

Are Gen Z as a whole actually obsessed with anything or is it actually just a lot of different people engaging with various topics of interest.
>>
It's not even just them, it's everyone.
I've always liked uncool T-shirts with a bit of character, I'd wear an obvious souvenir shirt I got on holiday or something I got at the science museum. Now everyone's obsessed with this "aesthetic", so I can't wear them anymore. Soon they're going to go through everything, so that you can't do anything without being part of some try hard wanker sub culture
>>
Everything is a thing now.
When I was a kid we did bouldering and thought nothing of of it, most people could take it or leave it, a few enjoyed it. Now it's omg BOULDERRIIING.
Japan has always been interesting since since 39,000 years ago. Literally kek. Now it's japaaaaaan :D let's all rush there, let's all learn Japanese.
People enjoyed avocados quietly in their own home.
Dogs have always been great.
Some people likes retro stuff.
A minority of people were always vegan, just didn't get V tattoos.
Everything has to be sensationalised and become your identity now. What's the next thing going to be? Winner gets a prize

It's because everything old gets a revival again. Even the 50s had revival shit in the 80s and the 90s had 70s revival.
>>
>>220493822
I've been obsessed with the 90's since 2005
>>
>>220497084
Millennials love the 80s
Altho 90s and Y2K was a better aesthetic so zoomies are in the right there
>>
>>220495623
It's previous generations obsessed with gen Z projecting that gen Z is obsessed with anything.

is vaporwave cool again?
>>
>>220497110
Millennials loved the 80s and 90s, a lot of the 90s stuff had revival through the late 2000s and partially tied into the hipster looks of the early 10s. The 80s revival that started in the early 00s is arguably thanks to GTA Vice City, every Gen X and Millenial played that since it overlapped into both the age groups.
>>
>>220493822
It's cool to obsessed with 1990s instead of that overblown 1980s obsession
>>
>>220497184
A little, but it is fleeting. Zoomers did a very brief analog movement where they used CD players, iPods, early digital cameras, dumbphones etc but abandoned it all pretty quickly since it was too inconvenient over using a phone. Cultures and fads move really fast now because of the internet.

>Zoomers did a very brief analog movement where they used CD players, iPods, early digital cameras, dumbphones etc
that was the 00s larp
>>
>>220497322
Oh yeah true, my bad. They did also attempt a film photography revival and then realized how expensive film is and the pain of developing/scanning it.

I think it was more like '17
And it isn't really about the 90's, just about shitty graphics
>>
>>220497194
No, most millenial culture are new/contemporary because we weren't bow to old peoples and conservatives like zoomers, from numetal to scenekid were fully new despite called cringe by non peers esp oldfag, maybe because social media not exposed to boomers yet, now zoomers afraid of their own culture because they are chud and bootlicker so they scared of judgement average internet (full of oldfags)
Nothing more cuck than glazing previous decade's pop shits
>>
>>220497517
Yeah also true, emo and scene were new and weird, but also pretty awful for the most part (scene was anyway). I think the 2000s were just the right time for all that kind of thing, the internet wasn't as massive just yet and smartphones were in their absolute infancy, so social media was in the earliest stage before it all got worse.

Considering how things are for zoomers now, I really feel like gen alpha are in for an absolute nightmare existence.
>>
>>220495623
it's a slow day at the joirnalism mine, so they need to get a retarded article with an hyperbolic title out
why do people give a fuck what journalists have to say about stuff like this? we've seen thsi before
>>
>>220497680
Fucking millennials ! Killing millennials by being millennials!
My favorite part is boomers complaining millennials had too much free sex like if it isn't something boomers had in their youth. Well now zoomers have no sex at all and as we see they must be very happy with that

millennials love the 80s especially those born in the 90s, older 40 year old millennial farts who got to experience the 80s not so much but the younger millennials/zillenials do love the 80s same thing for older zoomies who missed out on the 90s and early 2000 aesthetic because they were newborns

Why are millennial soydditors obsessed with zoomers?
>>
>>220497084
The 90's were fairly optimistic and everybody was looking into the brilliany future we had ahead, then 9/11 happened and everithing went shit.
I wouldn't say people were specially interested in the 70's, that happenex in mid 2000s
>>
>>220493822
fuck the 90's
im obsessed with the early mid 2000s
thats where we peaked as a society in terms of culture
>>
Zoomers should be less political. Politics is newfaggery on the internet.
>>
>>220499705
Zoomers are apolitical and the majority even the ones discussing politics and claming positions are politically illiterate.
If they were this political generation youd see a bunch of youth organizations everywhere influencing politics but you dont.
We have a zoomer movement in fact politics right now in serbia is a fight between under 35yo but there are no similar situations outside.
>>
>>220499827
They sure love talking politics on the internet at least.
>>
>>220493822

Because zoomers are the most retarded generation that has ever existed and hate their own countries, part of the reason why japan is so popular to them and see it as paradise since is not their country
Same brainrot that makes them see japan as a paradise also makes them seen the 90s as a paradise
>>
>>220493822
>oldfags bashing younger people itt
How can we stop Ceasar obsessing over Alexander the Great? How can we stop hippies obsessing over South Asia? How can we stop obsessing over Gen Z?
>>
>>220493999
Well ge got emo girls. Which were a downgrade from goth girls.
>>
>>220499162
Yep, that's what we used to do. They've taken everything they possibly could from the past and made it their thing. Mindless creatures
>>
>>220503852
Every generation is like this, I see these threads all the time and millennicucks are genuinely just making shit up to be mad about
>>
>>220493822
90s is like a great depression for people here. Synonym of destruction and bad times
>>
>>220495623
Generation Z is just how insectoids call the Pluto in Sagittarius generation. Exploration is root of everything that Sagittarius stands for.
