>>220505897It starts at 17 because the original Glock was Gaston Glocks 17th patent (some people say it's because it held 17 rounds I don't know if either has been officially confirmed). I think it's consecutive from there, this chart is missing the Glock 18 and 18C which were select fire models offered to governments and the 46 which was a limited production rotating barrel model. There's also C (compensated) and X (crossover combining features from different models) variants of the ones on this chart. There's also different generations, there have been 6 generations of the Glock 17 but I believe the other models just get labelled with the generation of 17 they get their distinguishing features from (ie a gen 4 glock 20 isn't the fourth generation of the 20 but a 20 with features typical of a 17 gen 4). There's also generation V (not generation 5) which is new production gen 5 + a different trigger so that existing auto sears wouldn't work in them for compliance (someone made an auto sear for them basically overnight though). Gen V is essentially legacy gen 5 as gen 6 used the compliant trigger in addition to new features. Burgers please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have me loicence yet so get this info from forgotten weapons and /k/ (where I have the decency to only lurk and not shit up the catalog).
