Do you think Brazilians deserve the Amazon rainforest?
>>
>>220514380
we deserve northern Chile as well, we need an exit to the Pacific ocean
>>
>>220514380
Come and try to take it from us. It’ll be the end of Chile
>>
>>220514380
I expected an Israeli flag
>>
>>220514380
I'm surprised that so much of Amazon lies in Peruvian and Bolivian borders. What happens there ?
>>
No, let's meet tomorrow at 8pm at caracas, ok?
>>
>>220514380
We have created an efficient method for forest removal tho. Using giant naval anchor chains and powerful tractors, sadly some people still use fire because the larger the tree the bigger the chain and the more powerful the trator you need, and even so it's not always granted to work. But in most forest covers it will make a clean shave.
https://youtu.be/zDK8qY0EKoo?si=aqgDIrs0AOHTtxZo
This way the resulting waste can be pulled or pushed by the tractors into the forest and naturally decompose without releasing the stored carbon into the atmosphere
>>
>>220514380
No. It should be ruled by a american-israeli coalition

Good afternoon, to the environmentalists and those who oppose deforestation. I was very ‘moved’ to read your comments and I’m reaching out to you to propose a deal, as I own a 70,000-hectare area of forest in Pará and already have a licence from SEMA to clear 20% of my land, and as I saw in the video that you are against deforestation, pay me the amount of profit I would make from livestock farming, which would yield me around 1,200,000.00 (one million two hundred thousand) per year, and I won’t deforest it.
>>
>>220514539
Nothing, you wouldn't want to go there it's dangerous.
>>
>>220514380
Aztlánians do.
>>
>>220514539
The Andean countries that have forests essentially leave the Amazonian populations to fend for themselves.
Unironically, the vast majority head to Brazil to survive, and a considerable number wish to become part of Brazil

south americans will only be satisfied when we all die with their shit cutting /
wood is not even that profitable and neither is farming

Peru should herit amazon
>>
>>220516020
Cattle farming is extremely profitable. Especially as inputs in Brazil are very cheap, and you’ve had a well-selected genetic stock for years now.

Either pay the equivalent, or help put an end to capitalism.
It wasn’t Brazil that invented capitalism, private property, the commodification of everything and every aspect of life – quite the opposite, in fact. Whenever we took even the slightest step away from that, we faced coups and foreign interventions. Now face the consequences.
>>
>>220516176
any private property within the Amazon can only deforest 20% of the forest, as >>220515392
mentioned
it's the law, just apply it.
the entire Amazon (except national parks and indigenous reserves) should be privatized for large landowners, everyone knows that those who break the law are land grabbers and small landowners.
capitalism is the solution there.
>>
>>220516176
In practice, it’s far more than 20 per cent.
Environmental offences can only be settled through fines, so offenders accumulate multiple fines without paying them. And from time to time, the legislature passes amnesties for environmental offences.
In other words, the logic of clearing the forest, evading the fine and waiting for an amnesty is the norm.
I worked in the Amazon for a long time on geoprocessing for the legal registration of land.

I think we ought to depopulate Brazil to save the climate

if you keep cutting the Amazon down, the entire Cerrado will turn into a desert worse than the Caatinga and the Amazon River will dry up
>>
>>220525214
you are correct, but try to convince the people up there cattle ranching isn't profitable, because love and sunshine alone will keep them fed
we here in the southern area cannot do anything about that.
>>
>>220525295
will the Atlantic forest be spared if everything north of it is either desert or fucked?

the atlantic forest was largely devastated since the colonization, unfortunately
but i live in a 22 million people metropolitan region, but nearby we have several national reserves and state parks, full of primary forests and nature (marked in red)
people in general love and protect these areas, at least in my region they are relatively safe.
>>

You should thank and pay us for preserving it

i often do camping over there, i particularly enjoy the deserted beaches, swimming in the rivers, and mountain trekking.

the most dangerous thing are jaguars, but they are timid and don't attack people.
slum dwellers dislike nature and usually avoid these areas, fortunately.

theres no such a thing as safety in the PvP server outside the gringo sanctuaries (five star hotels)

cannibals aren't a thing

most reserves are safe to visit as thugs don't have much of a reason to look for victims in the middle of a forest

60% of our country is Amazon rainforest, most of it consisting of the endless flat plains of the Amazon basin, with a smaller portion in the upper Amazonian Andes. About 14.5% of our population lives in the rainforest, though the numbers may vary depending on where you define the Amazon’s boundaries.

Probably you’ve seen images of Machu Picchu, which lies in our upper Amazon.
>>
>>220526119
We are very simple people, we do what brings profits. The africans are hungry but now they have money to pay and we will sell more and more each day
