We also don't have national healthcare and have private healthcare in the Netherlands. It costs €140/month and low incomes get part of the money back and sometimes all of it. If you need things like surgery you additionaly pay max 300-800 euros per year depending on your healthcare plan. Any costs that goes past that amount is fully covered by the healthcare provider.I don't understand how healthcare can be so expensive in america, it seems like a scam to me
