>normies take 1 years to learn 2000 japanese words>it takes me a month to learn 2000 words>it takes me 5 months to learn 10.000 wordsI'm going to prove all the demoralizing redditor faggots wrong
>>220580049You will never be Japanese
>>220580049イタリア人はマザコンって本当?実家暮らしとか多そうな印象だけど。ちなみに君はお母さんのこと好き?
>>220580049You keep claiming this but it's absolutely bullshit
>>220581397>イタリア人はマザコンって本当?一人暮らししたいけど、この国の経済状況は本当にひどいよ。>>220581460keep seething faggot, i can already parse eroge with some assistance, when i'll get to 10k lookups will be minimal
are you doing much immersion? i'm rooting for you
>>220581486I'm reading incest eroge and i can already get the gist of most lines. However I still find one or two new words nearly every page. It's annoying but eventually it will end. I already learned 50 words in an hour because I know most kanji and readings. So the real trouble is learning the remaining 10/20 words whose kanji and readings I don't know yet. Once these are also out of the way I won't even have to make any efforts to learn new words.
>>220581483Defensive, are we?
>>220581635You're acting like this is a superhuman feat meanwhile it's just the result of a good learning strategy + lots of free time. I heard that some guy on reddit learned a good chunk of the vocabulary by grinding 100 words a day, I started with 30, then tried 50 and now I'm going to learn 80 on weekdays because I'm tired of mining content. And retention is good because I can read eroge and test it all the time.
>>220580049And korean take 3 years to speak japanese fluently
>>220581774That depends entirely on how much time you pour into it. If you're studying all day like me one year should be enough to become semifluent I guess.
>>220581460I'm also trans btw, dunno if that's your kink though...owera adatakakimasu
>>220580049正直熱情さえあれば1年可能かも。イタリア語はインドヨーロッパ 語族だから難しいけど。
Also fastest way to learn a language it seems is just copying whole news articles with your hands on paper
>>220580049Now, how about your pronunciation and speaking skills?
>>220584544>Japanese>Pronounciation
>>220584953this
>>220580049how do you memorize words?
>>220584953Actually it can be easy for Italian, I suppose. It's just funny to me how it seems difficult for Unitedstandians.
I just found out 道(road) is written like that because ancient chinese people would use 首(severed head) as a totem of protection when travelling through villages
>>220585221Americans are the only people in the world who struggle to pronounce Japanese words properly(Well it's kinda hard for Koreans due to phonetical differences)Funny thing is Americans ARE capable of pronouncing it properly but can't because they're not used to reading the alphabet as written
>>220580049>:3
>>220585156I keep my vocab in a text file and keep adding words, grammar and structures every day.Anki reminds me of the words I need to put into my review file but I don't use it in the traditional way. Every day I collect the words I need to review from Anki and feed them to ChatGPT, then I ask it to translate the words to English. Afterwards I reconstruct each word in the list until I can recall the whole batch perfectly. The English translation helps me pin down the kanji and sound I need to recall. Then if it's a really tough chunk I read them in japanese one by one to ensure I'm not forgetting some of them. My retention is quite good, otherwise I wouldn't be able to read eroge, twitter and 4chan posts. However some words still slip through, you will feel as though this method isn't effective but by the end of the month I assure you will be able to read nearly every word.
>>220585696Are you able to understand live action?
>>220585740Unfortunately listening exposure is not my top priority now. Sometimes I can get the gist of what characters are saying in anime but my vocab is only halfway done. I will dive into listening and output practice when I'll get to 10k words, however my eroge is voiced so I guess I'm already training passive listening in a way.
>>220580049ywnbf
>>220580049just read
>>220588549The phase where I just read is 4000 words away. I need to grind harder just a little more. I'm getting there, I can already read lots of things but still struggle with specific words.
