at this point I'm rooting for a full global economic recession of the kind that sends the rich into misery and the miserable into starvation. I have switched from eating two meals every day to two meals every other day to prepare. I believe it is the will of God.

>>220627853Yeah, because global recessions always hit the richest the hardest right? It’s not like the poor just get even poorer while rich fucks just profit with their monopoly level money from shorting and hedge funds and inventing the next big scheme.

I think we are in a strange transitional stage. war as we have known it is impossible among superpowers due to mutually assured destruction, and they have opted for proxy and cyber warfare. after the collapse of the ussr and with communists nations becoming little more than authoritarian capitalist states, the act of conflict is shifting from armed conflict to economic competition; slowly but surely. unfortunately resource competition and the total cost of maintaining first world living standards is not totally possible on a global scale as things stand. I think a lot of the conflict occuring is a side effect of this transition, from direct conflict to economic conflict. because the way companies operate in our modern times; they seldomly compeat with each other: i.e. in the US cable companies stay to their respective zones and don't engage in market competition. due to national interest and loyalties, this has spilled out on the geopolitical landscape leading us to where we are now, with democracies act as plutocracies, and promoting the type of instability we have now. at least that's how I understand things.
