1) country2) is it still worth learning to draw or has this skill been rendered obsolete by AI
No job hires or rewards creative skills here. You either put a headset on your head or wipe asses.
>>220704477I will never understand why filipinos choose nursing as a profession, it's disgusting work
>>220704436You can just draw and have fun
>>220704538is it fun?
>>220704503The slave galleon just took a different name and front here in the Philippines
>>220704436I wonder why AI is becoming more common and used as a replacement for art, it feels like the death of creativity. like some deep passionate form of culture that defines what it is to be human, is being dismantled to produce automatons that can't even visualize objects in the minds eye.
>>220704538you cannot eat just by having fun, you either get a useful skill or starve to death
>>220704836Turns out >30% of us don't actually have imaginations and are literal NPCs who don't see a meaningful difference between human-created art and AI-created art. Tough way to find out.
>learn to drawshiet nigga if you drew that you know how
>>220704436i don't think AI will ever be good enough to replace artists. it's better at other things tho
>>220705216It can likely replace anime, but it's terrible at doing complex illustrations.
>>220705268>>220705216it already can, default image generators from chatgpt and stuff will always look rough but people with custom setups and trained on specific artists can make stuff thats indistinguishable
>>220704503Back during the 70s/80s, our current president's father basically promoted that shit.
>>220704836Beware, art and illustration are different things. You lack vocabulary for all of this to make sense.
>>220704436No it has not been rendered obsolete you instigating blockhead. Image diffusion-related shilling has been out of style for a few years now. No one takes someone who makes art using diffusion models is taken seriously and the public is only getting more and more vehemently opposed to it as AI fatigue continues.
>>220704436It's hard as a professional artiwt because companies want to save money and often generate AI pics for products rather than paying people. But the general public has AI fatigue, at least AI art is frowned upon and I feel like real artists are appreciated more than before
>>220704836This is what happens when you let computer nerds run the world. Everything is just a math problem to solve and a code to make more efficient.
>>220704436It was never "worth it"It's something you do for the love of it
>>220707593you sound so fucking mad lol
>>220704436Learn to draw like kim jung gi
>>220708379>kim jung gihe's ok but I prefer Tomas Sanchez I think tomas sanchez is the best artist in the world, his taste and aesthetics and technical skill are all impeccable
>>2207044361 Bolivia2 most arts are practiced as a part to build one's own sensibilities and inner world, express yourself and in it's just general cultureI don't think people enroll their kids on ballet or tae kwon do with the idea of them being a world class ballet dancer or a rich black belt or something.well it's the same, I learned to draw because I wanted to express myself and my niece is leagues above everyone at home and she's learning while ai is taking off, but she loves what she does, she's not expecting to make bank out of it.
