I learned that the yamaha making hayabusas and yachts is not the same yamaha as the one making pianos and synths
Yamaha motors and Yamaha corporation are different companies, they split up in 1955 and don't have a lot of shares in each other. The motors one is bigger by 20k employees

Kawasaki HEAVY INDUSTRIES is also a fun one, they make bikes but also all kinds of flying shit (planes, helicopters, space stuff with JAXA), supertankers, turbines for NPPs and what not
