Buddhism is somewhat like Catholicism, can be syncretic with it, and can also have a casual secular society alongside it. Islam, I don't know. Turkey is about the most sane muslim place I know of. I also don't like how they treat women (frankly I like looking at more than just a woman's eyes) and i dont like Ramadan. Giving up something for lent and eating fish on Fridays is enough fasting for me
