Currently reading Leper Knights. Which is just about the Knights of St Lazarus. There's a few missing books because I couldn't be assed taking a new photo, a book on Henry II, Tacitus' works, Norse Saga's, the Kingdom of Macedon, writings of Ancient Egypt among others.

>>220789042Please disregard the mess. Sorry for the low definition but it's all I can do.Started reading "Penser avec Stiegler" (Thinking with Stiegler) by the suggestion of a girl I recently met. She's writing her memoir around Bernard Stiegler. I was always fascinated by his ideas but never got to actually studying them.
>>220789481Shit. Lemme fix this.Sorry, image was rotated.
>>220789505Man...Oh well at least you can somwhat read the titles.
>>220789505>Shit. Lemme fix this.>Sorry, image was rotated.every time someone else falls for this, i imagine all the time we wasted
>>220789042I'm currently rereading books from my youth. Most of it is fantasy and old Star Wars books. Many did not hold up well but it is a nice trip down memory lane.>>220789199>Currently reading Leper Knights. Which is just about the Knights of St Lazarus.Historical fiction or a genuine historic discourse?
>>220789976Actual history. Pic rel
I dont have a shelf, everything is scattered in drawers and the wardrobe
>>220789042i only read 4chan posts. you can check my shelf by clicking on the catalog button.
>>220789235I think you’ve recommended me books on /lit/ before. Thoughts on Legacy of Violence by Caroline Elkins?
>>220792017>Thoughts on Legacy of Violence by Caroline Elkins?Never got around to it. I hope to eventually but I keep finding more to read before I do.
>>220789195Based. What did you think of it? It's Orwell's second best novel, imo. Very clearly a first work, but still quite enjoyable. I found the drama at the end in the church very touching.I recommend you read his essays. I presume you're interested in international history (since you're here), so you'd enjoy reading the interwar ones. It's quite incredible the lucidity and matter-of-factness he brings to interwar politics. + there are simple, charming essays, like the one about how to make a good cup of tea, or how much he enjoys toads.
the current stack + fumo (everything else is at my parents' house)
DUDE, HISTORY, LOL
Im illiterate
>>220794548Men should only read history.>inb4 muh philosophyGo get your mind raped somewhere else.
>>220789042>Share your bookshelfI read fiction on my ereader. My physical bookshelves are limited to a rather random selection of mathematics and physics textbooks, because I collect and scan them for archival. I have quite a lot of niche soviet school textbooks as well.
>>220795983I have the same "bookshelf" imc, with koreaderOnly problem is pdf files, the screen is too small for that
>>220794239Only good batch imo
>>220794548i just really like history doe
I should probably clean it up a bit

>>220797415>>220797450>a whole pile of Dicknice. also you have 2 editions of Fahrenheit 451
>>220797681Think the old one is in poor condition. Honestly, Fahrenheit 451 might be the most overrated sci-fi book of all time. It is the worst of big 3 dystopian novels by far. Bradbury is a decent writer though in terms of language / pose.
>>220797932I wouldn't know, I've only read Bradbury in some of those "masters of scifi" short story collections. I love a good anthology
>>220796048thank you frenchbro. does the rotated shelf posted above belong to you?
Regrettably I had switched to an ereader for many years, to the detriment of this picture.Went back to physical because staring at a screen just killed the vibe. I feel more comfortable with a physical book in my hands.
>>220797415>>220797450>Light in August, Conrad, Chekhov collection, Border trilogy, HG Wells, Blood Meridian, GogolI like all of these things
>>220801082I do the opposite. I still buy physical books because I like to collect them and recall back to them easily but I do all my reading on an ereader, even if I have a physical copy on the shelf. The reading experience on my ereader is just so much better, and I can change the font to Dyslexie.
>>220801082>>220801280I used to just borrow books from the library and read all the titles I couldn't find there on a nintendo DSi
>>220789199>>220789212>>220789235Does your father know you're posting photographs of his bookshelves online?
