After getting the diploma and having worked for at least 3 years, we can apply to enter a degree program. If the degree program is in the same exact field as the diploma, we can get up to 1 year exemption from a 4 year degree program.
No, there are so many ways to get a higher education here for cheap/free or bypass entrance exams that you must be genuinely retarded to not be able to do it.

You have 0 idea>Highschool diplomas are like 2-3 even 4 types depending on where you live>Deciding factor is your second and last year of highschool, if you fuck up here it's basically over (you have a very large margin to fuck up on the bac, it's easy but it's basically your entire future decided at 16-17 so)>Diploma only viable for 2 years once you have it, useless afterwards for joining schools>Higher education schools have no limit for the applicants and have non-lenient entry grades i.e if they have 100 seats for a certain curriculum and require 16/20 and literally the entire country applies, say 1000 people with +16/20 apply and 50 show up, they just close everything and even the 15.99/20 grade people cant even join or pass the entry exam if there's one>Public access unis are shitholes and mislead you in every step unless you're well connected or suck dick forget about it>Trades schools are scams and most people just join them to get a language certificate later and leave>If you fuck up everything mentioned before and want to get a second HS degree you cant get the same one you got before i.e you have one shot in your life for a STEM HS degree and if you somehow want a double degree or to change your direction after your bac+2 you're fucked and can only apply to human sciences or whatever >Most decent higher education schools are in obscure backwater barely-cities and getting a scholarship is nearly impossible (i know a friend who got excellent grades and still was denied because the form had one typo)
