The oldest building in my city, an Anglican church. Most of it dates to the 1860s, 1870s, but some is as old as the 1840s

Visited it once and it gives off such a strange feeling. I imagine it's how Greeks feel visiting the Parthenon, Italians in Rome, you just feel all that ancient history wash over you

What ancient buildings does your city have?

Romans left some ruins in my town, but it would be stretch calling them a building. The still standing castle was constructed in the 11th century, but it went through so many renovations over the centuries that again I'm not sure if it should count

Oldest building I can think of that isn't a ruin or hasn't been rebuilt is probably The White Tower, which is about a thousand years old.

I was born in Râmnicu Vâlcea but I don't live there anymore. Anyway the oldest building is this church erected 350 years ago, and modified 200 years ago

The oldest building in my hometown is a mill from the 1570s but it burned down two centuries later and was thus rebuilt in a different style.
There is also an abbey which got partly destroyed in the early 19th century due to the french invasion. But it was rebuilt in the 1860s. It still houses the graves of the previous dukes who ruled over this land as well as the heart of one Archbishop of Cologne, who also hailed from the aforementioned dukes.

Pic rel is the abbey. The oldest parts date to the 12th century. The roof is a construction from the latter parts of the 19th century.

My city is young. The oldest building is probably this church. It was built in ~1757. But it was also partially destroyed by Soviets, so it doesnt look as good as before.

It's almost certainly the cathedral. Construction started in the 11th century, though there's been extensive renovations since.

The lower tower there. Build in the 1200s, until the midn19th century it served as a prison, an interrogation room and a place for beheadings
