Just came back from here and I already wanna go back. Like it's not perfect (hot af and lot of tourists and traffic in some places) but for the most part it mogs my country in everything except the obvious (military spending and obesity etc). The people are nicer, public transportation is actually clean and efficient, the food is better, everything is more affordable, including healthcare, a lot of the cars are electric now and I never felt unsafe no matter where I went or how late it was. They are just less bitter and hostile all around and for some reason their internet speeds are faster than like 99.999% of my home state (Wyoming) even when I'm out in the fucking islands. I didn't even fuck any ladyboys, outside the tourist traps you barely see any and people are always outside doing activities and shit. And they somehow (mostly) kept it from turning into a wild west of sexpats and backpackers. I saw a group of jeets trying to get in an argument with a restaurant about the tab and within like minutes the cops show up and the saars start getting on their knees and apologizing or I guess praying or something. Seriously, why are Thais so based?

I was there earlier this year and had a really good time but I was also happy to go home again by the end of the trip.
