A well-trained hand writing reasonably paced might not lift from the page as much as very carefully printed letterforms, but it still does with every letter slightly. This is how the natural thinness and thickness of the strokes become apparent in one's own unique handwriting and the underlining beauty of the design of the letterforms emerges.
