Zimbabwe birds have finally been returned home.

Even though nowadays we modern people look at something like Great Zimbabwe and think >LOL THOSE STONE HOVELS ARE SOUTHERN AFRICA'S GREATER ACHIEVEMENT!? KEK N! In the 19th century Europeans thoughts so little of Africans that those stone hovels were thought of as some wondrous achievement that could've been only possible if the Phoenicians (lol) had somehow wandered all the way to Zimbabwe. And since white people love we wuzzing as every Middle Eastern civilization pre-Islam they declared this to be a precursor to the then-current colonial endeavors so Brits took the Zimbabwe birds soapstone sculptures that were found around the Greater Zimbabwe enclosure and took them to South Africa where Cecil Rhodes put the best preserved bird over his house's library as a symbol of wypipo's ancient connection to the land (kek). And now, finally, South Africa has returned the last Zimbabwe bird back to its homeland where it will be kept in an on-site museum with the rest of them.
