what did you learn about Finnish history in Finnish history classes in your country?
One finnish fact I know is that Finns got a lot of Italian Carcano rifles during the winter war I believe, but I think you didn't like them or something

I know so little about Finnish history that up until recently I thought you guys won that winter war with Russia you all jerk off over. It was a shock to learn that Finland lost a war which to this day it treats as such a huge part of its cultural identity.

The only people who treat Vietnam with any respect are the delusional "thank you for your service" bootlickers or boomers who lost a friend there and cope by acting like their deaths weren't in vain. A better comparison would be the Afganistan war. Many Americans still see it as justified or as a victory because we ultimately killed Bin Laden, but not until after thousands of American servicemen had died, hundreds of thousands of civilians had been killed, and trillions of dollars spent. And in the end the Taliban remained and took control once we left.
