But it is just...another Asian country. I was expecting to be enlightened and my soul cleansed. But I saw litter, locals breaking rules, rude locals, graffiti, decay, illegal dumps, potholes etc etc, just like any other country's cities or villages. I came to realise that Japan is not a theme park. There are real people who live there, with their own problems, warts and all. And this is fine.
