Just came back from here and I already wanna go back. Like it's not perfect (hot af and lot of tourists and traffic in some places) but for the most part it mogs my country in everything except the obvious (syrup and land area). The people are nicer, public transportation is actually clean and efficient, the food is better, everything is more affordable, including healthcare, a lot of the cars are electric now and I never felt unsafe no matter where I went or how late it was. They are just less bitter and hostile all around and for some reason their internet speeds are faster than like 99.999% of my city even when I'm out in the fucking islands. I didn't even fuck any ladyboys, outside the tourist traps you barely see any and people are always outside doing activities and shit. And they somehow (mostly) kept it from turning into a wild west of sexpats and backpackers. I saw a group of jeets trying to get in an argument with a restaurant about the tab and within like minutes the cops show up and the saars start getting on their knees and apologizing or I guess praying or something.Seriously, why are Thais so based?
I remember coming back from a 6 month SEA trip back in 2019, went through slums, shittiest areas the worst that happened was people waved and smiled at me. Came back to the SHITHOLE that is Canada, and immediate had a guy following me from his car harassing me at 2AM in the morning while incel walking. I fucking hate this shithole so much. Thankfully my degree is almost over so I can finally get the fuck out of this AIDS ridden shithole.
