I grew up in North Jersey and then Northeast Pennsylvania. It’s New York’s orbit and a lot of people were from there so it was kinda like growing up in the New York exurbs. Anecdotally, I’ve noticed New Yorkers, like real New Yorkers not the NPC transplant New Yorkers from North Carolina and whatever, are the only people I jive with. Even in Philly I don’t really fit in.
