I came here on vacation, met my gf and decided to stay.
As to what I do here, pretty much nothing all day. I just stay home and doomscroll or read.
To be honest, I really love this place. I feel like argies don't realize how lucky they are. The idea of going back to Europe terrifies me.
I mean obviously I don't go to villas or anything but CABA has many great places, and overall feels very secure (moreso than any major french city, at least).

Nah I'm fine. I have like 10k on my account, giving some language classes (though I'm giving very few at the moment). Argentina is still pretty cheap, plus I basically don't pay rent. Still, if I did, I would be able to live decently with like 500 bucks a month.

Nah you have a great country mate. You can get a monoambiente in any good neighbourhood (I'm in Recoleta and not paying rent but if I had to I'd go to Devoto or Urquiza or something) for like 300 bucks tops. And eat decently for 150 ish, probably less if you eat very little like I do. Pay for gym, phone and sube with the remaining 50 and you have a pretty chill life.

Honestly I'll never understand why the hate from young argies towards argentina. Life can be pretty great here. Of course you have to have some money but I feel like 500 a month is pretty realistic for someone living here, especially since a lot of US companies target south america for cheap online labour.
