Do you have heretics in your country?
Brazil is a Catholic country and yet this heretical Anglican priest was celebrating the eucharist in my grandmother's nurse house. I only discovered he was a heretic and not a true Roman Catholic priests today.

>>
>>220862948
Brazil has the Anglican Episcopal Church of Brazil, an heretical province of the heretical Anglican Communion.

>>
>>220862948
There is no Papism in the Scriptures nor in Early Church Fathers
>>
>>220862934
Anglicans are basically Catholics except their Pope is the King of England.
>>
>>220863111
I’d rather live next to the most patronizing, effeminate gay trans Anglican minister than an Evangelical
>>
>>220863168
The Catholic heritage of Anglicanism was heavily cucked during the Puritan revolution and never recovered.
>>
>>220863168
Catholic theology says you can't be a Christian and you can't be saved without submission to the Pope of Rome.
>>
>>220862934
>No, you didn’t heckin properly worship the le Eucharist like my trad sect does. You’re a heretic because you belong to the United Alliance of Anglican Methodist Friends and not the Igreja of I love Jesus with all my heart and soul o algo

Do Christfags really?

Jesus Christ gave left us the church and said satan would not prevail against it.

the bible wasnt put together until hundreds of years after Jesus death. Protestants are all going to hell.
>>
That means CIA is in. Expect religion clashes soon.

It is.
According to the 2022 Demographic Census, released in June 2025, the proportion of Catholics in Brazil reached 56.7%

You are just repeating a bunch of jargons and shit
>>
>>220862934
Yeah we have loads of them, plus heathens and infidels.
>>
>>220862934
Complaining about "heresy" (catholic church does not consider protestants to be heretic, instead it calls it "separated brethren") on atheist board is certainly an option.
Anyways, I've been thinking about religion, and Catholicism does seem to be in agreement with the bible, but I still don't understand how people can be so certain of their religion. And it extends to all religions, Baptism, Catholicism, Islam, and so on. How can you be certain you understand God fully and correctly 100%?

Catholicism teaches infernalism but that isn't in the bible.
>>220864391
What is a "church"? Is it a physical building? Is it a clerical hierarchy? No, it is a community of Christians.
>>
>>220865155
>Catholicism does not teach infernalism
The fuck is that supposed to mean? What did Christ mean when he talked about "Great chasm that cannot be crossed by anyone" (Luke 16), or when he talked about "depart to eternal fire" and "eternal punishment" (Matthew 25)? You can hope for universal salvation, but the Bible definitely teaches about hell.
>>
>>220865441
>Luke 16
That is a parable, it's not supposed to be taken literaly. And both Rich man and Lazarus were in the same place, they were both in Hades, not hell. Hades was the ancient Greek abode for the dead, the good dead and the evil dead. And Jesus Christ already crossed the chasm. when he descended into Hades and freed all the people trapped there, if the rich man really was a real person, Jesus would have freed him too.
>Matthew 25:46
Doesn't mention eternity at all. The word used in that verse is aionios, which means age in Greek. Aionios doesn't mean eternity, aidos does. Aionios means a long period of time, but a FINITE period of time. Aionios can be as short as a person's lifespan, or it can be as long as an epoch, such as the age of the dionsaurs.

When the Bible was translated from Greek to Latin, it was translated incorrectly, Aionios was translated as aeternus, completely changing the definition of the text.
>>

>Luke
The parables were told by Christ to teach, so while they are not 1:1 to reality, it still shows that there's such place. Different words being used to describe hell does not mean there's hell. And saying they both are in the same place, when neither of them can cross to each other is dubious at best. But if you believe only in purgatory and haven then you do you, I guess?
>Matthew
In original "aionios" is used for both "eternal life" and "eternal punishment", but I doubt anyone thinks eternal life is not eternal. Besides this is "Bible does not teach that sodomy is wrong" level argument. The point is that in the new testament warnings against hell are repeated often, so individual gotchas are less effective. God warns about hell many times, and reminds many times that only He is the gate to eternal life.

in Sweden most Christians I've met have become syncretic in that they sort of just go to all the churches and aren't concerned about the nitty gritty of theology, a lot of them even see the pope as a spiritual authority despite not being catholic!

>In original "aionios" is used for both "eternal life" and "eternal punishment"
Matthew 25:46 isn't talking about eternal life, it's talking about "life of the age", life in the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth which Jesus will establish after his second coming, this kingdom isn't eternal, Paul says in Corinthians that after an age Jesus will deliver up the kingdom to God so that God will be all in all, THAT is when eternal life will begin, when universal salvation will be completed, where every tongue will gladly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:11), when even Satan himself will repent and be reconciled with God, as Saint Isaac the Syrian taught. https://afkimel.wordpress.com/2021/08/30/the-demonic-void-and-the-apokatastasis-of-satan/
