Opinions on Singapour? Have any of you visited? Is there a real feeling of a united singaporean identity nowadays?
>>
At least I have history and culture.

Singapore is basically Israel done right
>>
singapore is a business conference centre and singaporeans are all employees
>>
Kinda crazy that they have a significant chunk of our population in an area you can walk across in a day.
>>
>>220878831
We haven't stole enough land
>>
We peaked in the 90s and it's been downhill ever since.

full of malingshits
>>
>>220879112
you are better than us, instead of stealing land your country make new land from the sea.
most of the land in Israel is uninhabited because the government is too lazy to invest in any city except of Gush Dan (Tell Aviv Metropolitan Area) and Jerusalem. also the government is losing billions on maintaining illegal settlements in the west bank that a small town of 2000 people gets more funding than big cities with over 100,000 people.

always 80 degrees with thunderstorms in the afternoon. great food and easy women if you’re white
>>

I want to visit but it seems very hot and sweaty, at least they have air conditioning.
>>

They're ok. They're basically Malaysians in terms of culture, language and food. They're the most culturally similar SEA nation to us. Despite what the internet and some politicians tell you, we get along fine. Singaporeans regularly come to Johor to eat and go shopping. They crowd our Genting Highlands to gamble at the casino there too. I sometimes go to Singapore as their Changi Airport have good connecting flights to everywhere around the world. However, things are looking rough for them in the next 20 years or so. China, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia have built a massive goods rail network bypassing Singapore. It has already started operation, cutting 2 weeks of shipping time from China to the Strait of Malacca. As this link ramps up, Singapore has to find new avenues of income in the mid to long term time span. I expect them to relax their banking policies and become the tax haven of SEA.
>>
>>220885768
lol retard
Straits of Malacca is for oil from middle east to countries like Japan and china

Goods rail network is good for interregional trade, but there is literally nothing china needs to buy from the world except raw resources. This means Malaysians will remain in low income industries like palm oil, while more manufactured goods is processed in china and moved to SEA. Kind of how Singapore buys water, refines it, and sells it to Malaysia for 10x the price

The only reason why ships "process" goods here is to split it, so that smaller boats can go to places like australia, Japan, India, and afaik there is no direct railway from china to these countries

Don't remain in lalaland for too long, delusion leads to humiliation
Also Singapore is too young to have an identity, and the people are not replacing themselves. In my opinion, our identity should to become king of the world, and mog all other civilizations

>>220878781
A country that functions well despite 50% of its population being immigrants.
Japan ought to follow its example, but it’s probably impossible.
>>
>>220885768
>It has already started operation,
didn't vietshits and thais try to block it
>>
The Singaporean language is probably one of the world's worst sounding ones. Basically Chinglish but with a jeet accent
>>
utter shithole. A masterclass in False advertising
>>

Many can speak proper english with the right intonations

But we shall never let fucking foreigners dictate how we ought to speak

Most of you Taiwanese/hong kongers/mainlanders are obviously ESL, but they believe speaking like an Englishman dictates proper English

It is a bizarre world of inferiority complex that you project onto us, disgusting dog eaters
>>
I've visited twice so far.

The first few days are good, the second visit was good too...

But after a week, it becomes dull.

And women are rarely beautiful, too,
>>
>>220883146
Singaporean southern chinese women are chopped as fuck, you must be really really desperate
The non-fat indians were way hotter on average and I almost never go for them usually

Pompous Malaysians

Fakest and most boring country I visited. The whole place feels sterile and void of sovl. Even Hong Kong, which in theory should feel similar, is 1000x more fun.

zionist jews illegally settle in the west bank and just straight up kick people off their property, often armed, sometimes with IDF backing and bulldozers, intense. then they erect fortifications around the "settlement" and another part of the west bank is cut off from the rest. it started off as enclaves of Israel in the west bank, but now it looks like the Palestineans have become the ones living in enclaves. Im sure movement is limited, probably checkpoints

Singapore is like a big mall or big company building that has cafes, gardens, stores, and start up things.
Everything is superficial and designed around two things: working and shopping.

The fascinating thing about Lee Kuan Yew is that he made three crucial decisions right at the beginning for Singapore. Each of them now seems obvious, but at the time, each was deeply contested.

First, he said that everyone in Singapore would speak English. Many people argued against this, saying the country should preserve a local language and stay true to its roots. He insisted that English was the language of the world, and that Singapore would adopt it.

Second, he decided that Singapore would draw on the best intellectual capital available globally. Critics argued that the country should stand on its own and avoid relying on outsiders, especially given tensions with former colonial powers like the British. He rejected that view, stating that Singapore would bring in the best talent from anywhere in the world.

Third, he established a strict policy of zero corruption. Part of this approach was ensuring that political leaders were well paid—Singapore’s leaders are among the highest paid in the world—to reduce incentives for corruption. Alongside this, he enforced a zero-tolerance stance on corrupt practices.

These three decisions were instrumental in shaping modern Singapore.

Obviously, the beautiful ones are those teenage girls, not some seething hag >21 years old
>>
>>220878781
It was okay. Extremely clean, organised and well-run, but it didn't really feel like a 'real' place to me. The climate is extremely unpleasant, but the food is great and shockingly cheap for how wealthy the country is. One thing I found kinda jarring is how ugly Singaporean Chinese women were. You'll find beautiful Chinese women all across China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and even neighbouring Malaysia, but it's like all the Han lost 10 attractiveness points the second they arrived in Singapore. The pajeetas weren't great either, but still mogged their Chinese counterparts.
>>
>>220878781
It seemed quite nice, but there are too many jeets for my taste (I'm aware it's probably our fault on some level)

It's Israel if it actually listened to Palestine (Malaysia) and did its own thing instead of turning into an aggressive Sparta state that's constantly warring with its neighbors. So nothing like Israel at all
>>
Independent Malaysian city-state made incredibly rich by its port and financial center. Basically think if London or New York weren't attached to their countries or of Hong Kong remained independent of the mainland

Hating mainlanders is like a pan-Asian thing, somehow even among other chinese
>>
>>220878781
Yes I did, I went for conventions. Fantastic and comfy place, crybabies about the laws should stay out. Only thing that weirds me out is the multicultural cope when it's obviously a Han Chinese ethnostate.
>>
>>220900939
>somehow even among other chinese
It doesn't feel that way anymore in Singapore. Most anti-Mainland sentiments barely make a blip nowadays while Mainland niggers and their Wumao pets astroturf every discussion about China in its favor.
