I apologize for making fun of German autism. This is the best cheap car I've ever driven. I will never make fun of Germany industry or Mexican manufacturing ever again.Have any of your opinions of other cunts changed over time?
>>220915705This brand was created in nazi Germany btw.
>>220915705You don't get the same products there as we get here.I hear mutts complaining all the time about bmw and praising Opel for reliability which is the complete opposite in Europe
>>220915754>Americans praise a brand they've never heard of
>>220915749But that's why its so well liked by many
>>220915754Thats cope about half of the time, but the MK7 Jetta is literally not sold in Germany. It was developed by VW Mexico in Puebla. It's pretty great. That GLI version is basically just a comfortable sedan version of the Golf GTI. Same MQB platform.BMW isn't unreliable. Poor retards just buy used ones and don't do any maintenance on them and parts are expensive. They used to overheat a lot. Opel used to be GM and were mid range reliable but have gone to ceap. They're now French owned. French cars were so unreliable they literally left the US market.
>>220915705>I had one good experience so all of my previous research goes out the windowI used to be like that when I was a sensitive pussy ass kid but not anymore.
>>220915901You sound like a retard who wears Oakley glasses and posts rambling drunk videos about trannies in his shitbox.
>>220915970I can't think of anything more repulsive than a close up of a human face, I don't understand why the average subhuman likes to watch that so much.
>>220915901>>220915984This reeks of whiny fake tough guy energy. Very söy
>>220915705Yeah just wait for the warranty on that POS to end and then see if you still hold that same opinion kek
>>220915705Völkswägen
>>220915754>OpelWe don't have these here so how could anyone have praised them.We do have the company that owns them (Stellantis) but their general reliability is notoriously shitty here too
>>220916213You can buy an entire new EA888 engine for $2500. Imagine not knowing how to maintain your own car.
>>220916134you just don't get out much. you're gonna have the occasional good experience with things and people that you don't normally like. and then you're gonna turn around and the world is gonna slap you across the face once again.
>>220915705krautpology accepted
>>220916250(You) are not performing an engine swap on your modern VW, stop larping.
>>220916223Das Auto
>>220916309krautpology accepted
>>220916224>We do have the company that owns them (Stellantis) but their general reliability is notoriously shitty here tooImagine someone actually thought it was a good idea to merge French and Italian car companies with the shittiest American car company.
>>220916301>>220916301I watched Mexicans down the street replace the engine on an Audi A4 over the course of like 3 hours. Same engine IIRC
>>220916321No need to apologize. German automotive excellence will prevail.
>>220916301Not everyone is a mechanically uninclined retard like you. Jettas are not complex.
>>220915705not me but my parentsI bought myself a korean car, a hyundai some 5 years agoit is a reliable car that gives little to no trouble and very fuel efficientmy dad says if he buys another car soon-ish, he'll buy a hyundai
>>220916380Post engine crane with timestamp.
>>220916403I had the polar opposite experience with Hyundai. Engine blew up. It's a known manufacturing defect though so they replaced the engine. The replacement engine is having the same issue though and they won't replace it a second time. If your Hyundai has a Theta or Smartstream 2/2.4/2.5 engine get rid of it if it starts suddenly burning a lot of oil.
>>220916421No
>>220916453That's what I fuckin thought, larper boy.
>>220916467Again with this fake whiny tough guy faggot shit
>>220916213Jettas aren't expensive to repair and are simple 4 cylinder turbos.
never ever ever EVER buy a jap or korean car. the cheapest german car is leagues ahead in terms of comfort and driving dynamics. every asian car is DOGSHIT in terms of comfort. YES, a standard 3 series is BETTER than every lexus (overpriced toyota, YES, i said it)
>>220916487At this point every reply you continue to make without an attached image of your crane, hoist, or lift is just embarrassing you even further, larper boy. Not even the same anon you called a tough guy btw.>>220916501Sure but guess what. Hondas and Toyotas in the same category won't need those repairs in the first place.
>>220916585Hondas and Toyotas are boring as shit
>>220916585>Sure but guess what. Hondas and Toyotas in the same category won't need those repairs in the first place.german cars are reliable, the illiterate mexican working cash jobs doing shitty roofing and then doing a shitty remap on his jetta revving it on a parking lot with other illegals yes of course it wont be reliable.
>>220916617So is a fucking jetta. If you're shopping for a grocery-getter and looking at Germans, you're doing something wrong. At least in the US.I get that you don't like hearing mean things about your new car, but we're trying to give you real advice here. Enjoy it for a few years, but get that thing off your hands the moment the warranty expires.>>220916621The German-made ones in Europe are reliable. Not the same thing at all
>>220916656I used to be a tech when I was younger and have had two C-Classes previously. Entry level German cars are not particularly difficult to maintain or own if you follow maintainance schedules. The GLI is a lot more fun than what Toyota or Honda offer at a similar price point because they're all marked up to hell and back. All you'll really need to watch out for on these is the water pump and you can replace that for about $1k. I had a C280 that hit 235k miles before it shit the bed and a C250 that lasted right up to 160k miles without mechanical faults before some dumb cunt on her phone rear ended it.
>>220916656>>220916621Its not that. Euros mostly get diesel models which are pretty robust. They no longer sell diesels here, just high powered forced induction models which are reliable if maintained but women don't maintain them. On the subject of beaners, they actually get a more reliable non turbo charged version there with a manual and those are known for being very reliable.
>>220916656>The German-made ones in Europe are reliable. The most unreliable German cars are the high spec complicated made in Germany models like M//// or AMG bi turbo V8s and the like. There's nothing complex about the little 4 cylinder models manufacturered abroad.
>>220916621That's not true at all. The most reliable models in the VW range are the Jetta and Passat which are built in Mexico and the US respectively. The least reliable models have been the Atlas and older Touareg. The most reliable BMW models are the 2 and 3 which are both made in Mexico and the least reliable by a huge margin are the M5 & M6 series made in Germany.
>>220916719>The GLI is a lot more fun than what Toyota or Honda offer at a similar price pointI guess, but I'd still go for a Mazda3 Turbo over this thing. Or just save up for an actual fun car with fun suspension.I had a non-GLI Jetta myself briefly, I'm not just shitting on it for no reason. Gave me nothing but problems, and yes I actually maintained it. Ik picrel is blurry, but most pics I have of it show the area I live in.
>>220916997German cars seem really hit or miss. My dad actually has a Mexican made BMW and it hasn't had a single issue at 100,000 miles now. Mom also had a gen 1 Tiguan and that thing was a tremendous pile of shit.
>>220916997German cars seem really shit or piss
>>220917110>Thread about cars>German starts talking about shit & piss
>>220917948SEX
>>220917952Do you drive a pisswagen or a shitwagen? In Germany
>>220918037Both, at the same time, 24/7.
>>220915893>Mexicans are herrenraseI know
>German cars are unreliableWait till you learn there's a whole conspiracy at VW; leadership fucked it up on purpose to mass layoff German plants.>>220915893>BMW isn't unreliableNot particular best either though. Here they're infamous with modders, almost every engine part will be replaced after 5 years.>>220916585>>220916403Not sure how people still fall for Hyundai. I have yet to sit in one that didn't got the flimsy door feeling, like a single, thin metal sheet on your side making you feel like in the middle part of a soda can.
>>220918367I personally think a lot of Japanese cars also have that thin tin can feeling as well.
>>220918412They dialed back a lot here. My recent nippon experience is literally just Lexus taxis and cheap EV rentals. Each fared pretty much exactly as you expect.
>>220918576*As in the EV Toyota felt thin, Lexus didn't. I still prefer Mercedes on the later for those extra cms headroom.
>>220915705They’re alright I guess but I still would take a Mazda over them for the interior quality alone. Love me soft touch materials and metals.
if money wasn't an issue, I would buy pic related, one of the nicest cars available rn imo>muh Chinese EVs>muh American SUVsGerman cars are still the nicest
>>220920233New Mercedes are fucking hideous. Older models are great but the new designs are far behind what Audi and BMW put out. The new C-Class looks puke inducing.
>>220916997The previous gen Jetta was legit diarrhea. It was designed to be as cheap as possible to try to undercut Japanese, Korean and domestic brands in North America but it just ended up being less reliable. The MK7 actually got big investment into it to put it on the global MQB platform and shared QC and engineering input from Audi Mexico. They determined it was better to lose money up front over engineering something that was basically an Audi A3/A4 hybrid under a VW badge but branded as a VW and sold slightly below the competition, then make back the investment in very long term mass sales numbers. It paid off IMO. They picked the Puebla plant that was already slated to build other MQB platform cars and source the engines from Mexican Audi. They sell enough for it to be profitable even though not highly profitable, but it gets people who'd previously only bought Japanese and American stuff into the brand and more expensive vehicles in the long run. In Mexico the base model has a bigger non-turbo engine with multi-port injection paired to a Toyota sourced transmission and super soft suspension. I wish we got that version here.
>>220915705>cheap carSuch a car considered luxury class in Russia
>>220916380Are you that retard who was arguing that HotWheels is a manly hobby
>>220922490but you have Crimea and Donbas, that's what matters
>>220921865It's just the same few actually designers knowing what they're doing getting hired back and forth. For a while everyone raved about Audi A3, then they looked like shit and now we're back to something decent. BMW i8 knocked it out of the park when it arrived, just to be followed by the i8 concept. Now after Mercedes got egged(heh) on, it's their turn to come back with a decent designed exterior.
>>220922490No shit a decent car is luxury in a third world country. Next you're telling us a sudanese would be jealous of it.
>>220922563What flavor of migrant are you? No firstworld male thinks the new Mercedes look good.
>>220922538What?
>>220915705VW in here is fucking shit, they sell shitty cars for insanely prices and try to lobby against BYD. 20k USD for a car without ceiling light
>>220922563>For a while everyone raved about Audi A3The A3 has pretty much always looked good for it's time.>BMW i8 knocked it out of the park when it arrived, just to be followed by the i8 concept.Always looked bad>Now after Mercedes got egged(heh) on, it's their turn to come back with a decent designed exterior. They've been getting consistently worse. What the fuck is this bullshit? Bottom of the market Chinese and Korean cars look far better.
>>220923034That's just your own retarded national regulations.
>>220923166we're forcing VW to maximize their profit by selling cars without ceiling light for insane prices?
>>220923189Your retarded government levies an insanely high tax on new cars.
>>220923315your country do the same. how much is the tax on BYD cars out there? the difference is that you guys do it only so Tesla can exist.
>>220923348New car sales tax in the US is 0% to 10% depending on which state you're in. We don't have any BYD vehicles here apart from commercial vehicles because BYD was found to dump their passenger vehicles below market value then not honor any warranties. Geely is the only Chinese car company with significant sales here.
>>220922915Learn to read, Rajit.>>220923034>try to lobbyAnon, that's what VW's best at. They will not stop at "trying" unless you completely sit them down like the chinese. >>220923130>i8 always looked badMight be your taste, but i8 was by numbers a fan favourite. Certainly not for it's performance.>They've been getting consistently worseThey leaned too much into the egg design to get better ranges. That's the whole point. Do you have any clue what you're complaining about?
>>220923462>Learn to read, Rajit.Learn to speak English you ignorant ESL dipshit. Don't come spouting your fragmented dialogue then behave arrogantly because you're too retarded to identify your fuck up. Harris should have done more.>Might be your taste, but i8 was by numbers a fan favourite.More people eat McDonalds than taretare each day but that doesn't mean McDonalds is better
>>220923619Ok, Rajit. Please explain what you don't understand in>Now after Mercedes got egged(heh) on, it's their turn to come back with a decent designed exterior. Also no clue what kinda curry taretare is.
>>220923034They're shit everywhere really
>Punjabi gets called out>Punjabi disappearsGod, i wish they all just die.
>>220924870anon the thing is, they're even shitter in here, they remove the most stupid thing you can imagine to save some money in order to "make the car more affordable" when in reality they're even more expensive than in EU/USA. This video make a comparison between the Polo sold in EU and the Polo sold in BRhttps://youtu.be/_d13rTgV5_o?t=361
>>220915893Some Opels were sold in the US under the Saturn brand, not bad cars, just a tad dull, but it was Ok for going from A to B.
>>220916434I don't think hyundai sells the same cars here and thete, their genesis brand is barely heard of here.
