Arabs eat with their hands from a single plate. Does this image look disgusting to western/global audiences? If we replaced the Arabs in this photo with dark skinned Indians, would it look much worse?

The fact that India is so polluted and no one seems to give a shit is the reason it's so gross. If you can ignore your cities looking like a open sewer then it makes me seriously doubt how hygienic your food practices are.

I don't think normal people really bemoan people eating with their handsIt's a bit strange when you see people eat really sloppy foods with their hands because it's just messy, a big pile of couscous isn't so grubby The problem have with India is that everywhere is dirty on top of eating with their hands

The main reason Indians are hated is because of their ugly appearance and accents. Let's not be disingenuous about it. The only way to stop Indian hate is crispr technology to make them look more eurocentric and teach them western accents.
I don't mind eating most food with bare hands but rice or things with sauces are just disgusting, messy and your hands get sticky and greasy afterwards.
