Japan has given us the animation that shaped our childhoods, the most delicate sushi on the planet, and a level of "omotenashi" hospitality that is basically a gift to humanity, so if there’s a hypothetical line in the sand, I’m standing on the side with the high-speed rail and the Gundams. I’d be doing everything in my power to protect those ancient shrines and the sheer cultural magic that Japan radiates, though I’d probably still be secretly hoping for a quick peace treaty so we can go back to a world where the only "conflict" is deciding between a bowl of Hokkaido ramen or a piece of Karjalanpiirakka.
