I was on TikTok and saw a blonde American girl speaking some Portuguese to farm macaco simps, and it sounded so awful. I was cringing really hard. Before anyone says she was bad at speaking it, I’ve heard Brazilian a million times, and I’ve always found it disgusting. I’m pretty sure part of the reason is that I picture the most subhuman, low-IQ brown favelado speaking that cursed tongue.
>>220938799Portuguese is a Romance language; it’s impossible for anything derived from Latin to sound bad.https://youtu.be/phMc4YxE6KM?t=17
>>220938814I listened to a chud podcast, Myth of the 20th Century, and even they were going off on how bad Portuguese sounds. The podcast has nothing to do Brazil or Latinx people but they came up in the conversation. Clearly many people think this.
>I was on TikTok and saw a blonde American girl speaking some PortugueseSauce?
I agree. It's a fucking disgusting language, only tolerable for those who speak it. But I think that of spanish too. Italian as well. What puts me off on those languages is that, compared to germanic languages, you can -feel- the malicious intent behind it. I don't know how to describe.Germanic languages feel way more straightfoward. Even in romantic scenes in spanish-speaking or portuguese-speaking movies, when the characters are speaking romantically to eachother, it feels like they can backstab eachother at any moment.
