Imagine living in a country where you don't need to worry about finding a job, being fired and replaced by someone willing to work for $50 less, or not being able to find a new job. Imagine not having to worry about keeping up with new trends as you age or whether AI will replace you. Imagine not having to worry about if your landlord will again raise the rent this year. Just imagine.
They really traded that just so they could eat McDonald’s and get diabetes
>>220962569they had the life that any men over 30 wishes for. A job, and a house (and maybe a mandatory gf)
Crazy how the average third worlder is still poorer than the average communist citizen. Even they had their own apartment in a commie block while we pay to sleep in a dog house. And I hate communism and believe they should be eradicated
>>220962553But the uzbeks, poles, and kazakhs under URSS know what is this... Russian uper caste had better jobs than they all, low caste proletarians, and a pole would shoot in head or send for Siberia minerate diamonds until die of hunger if even dare to not boil the head to his russian master while crossing the road
>>220962600Well, anyone had a job in URSS because they had camps of forced worked, 17 hours per day, paid half a bread, vodka, strogonina and some gun to you kill yourself... You had also job to any native american here in Brazil during portuguese colonial era and we used to call such magical stuff as "slavery"
>I transheart wasting my life working in a kolchoz or a mine
>>220962553Yeah, you also wouldn't have to worry about getting meat for your table, because there isn't any, about affording car or electronics x because there isn't any, about your salary, because there isn't any. But hey, you can always steal from your work everything that isn't nailed to the floor!
>>220962553>Imagine living in a country where you don't need to worry about finding a j-AACK
>>220962596they had commie blocks.
>>220962826My grandma got a summer house in addition to her comfy commieblock apartment for free and she was just a school teacher in a tiny ass town
>>220962553bad thing is it collapsed onto itself without even entering a war
>>220962553The greatest country in history.
Isn't life there still more or less the same as it was?
>>220962553Pic unrelated? You could lose your job and all your priviliges combined if you do something the government deems to be dissident activity. I knew a Ukrainian woman who said she got in trouble for painting Lenin on her spare time just to practice painting.
>>220962553probably the best country if your IQ is less than 80. terrible for anyone else though.
>>220962569And now they have Uncle Vanja's and HIV
>>220962553>don't need to worry about finding a job,you don't understand how this works. there was zero unemployment because being unemployed was a crime so you went to gulag for not having a job
>>220963324Communism didn't collapse. It was aggressively attacked by capitalist external players from day 1 and was defeatedWe've never gotten to see communism develop without capitalist intervention ever
>>220962728>NOOOO!!! I HAVE TO OWN THE NEWEST GOYSLOP CONSUMERIST CRAP THAT BREAKS EVERY 3 YEARS!!!!! I HAVE TO CONSOoooOOOOM!
>>220965946>real communism hasn't been tried>real communism needs capitalism to support it
>>220968505Nice reading comprehensionThe reply was to the "collapsed onto itself" claim when the system was being actively assaulted from the start
>>220969240>assaulted from the start by you existingbruh there were commie parties all over the west(still are) and NO capitalist ones behind the iron curtain
>>220968227What's the reason behind this childish outburst? Its better to own something, unlike owning nothing like in Soviet Union
>>220962653Apart from political prisoners, I think murderers, robbers and welfare collectors really should be sent to forced labor.
>>220969395he's a russian hiding behind VPN
>>220969380I shouldn't have to explain to you the asymmetry of power between a new disruptive system trying to gain ground vs an established system that controlled all the means available
>>220970061so we're back to >>220968505
>>220962553That's a terrible unsustainable system because it teaches people to not put in any effort in their life or to acquire any skill because they know they have a job lined up for them no matter what happens. But no wonder you like that since that's the thirdie dream. Tons of factories and companies were unprofitable and a net negative for the country, they were only kept around to keep the illusion that everyone could find work. Then when the economy crashed the harsh really hit them and these places had to shut down and millions of people were left without work because they couldn't get free money from the state anymore
