By contrast, Mesoamerican palaces typically had many smaller rooms connected to one another, so even if the outer rooms on the edges of the structure had windows, that light wouldn't really travel that far through the series of adjacent rooms as the walls of each blocked more and more lightThe inner courtyard also already would have let some light through from the center of the building and to the rooms lining the courtyard.So basically, my guess is that the central courtyard and its patios already acted as "windows", just radiating out from the center rather then at the edges of the structure, and the fact that palaces were mazes of tiny rooms also let light permate through the while building less then modern homes anyways. As you say I do know that much of Cholula has been encroached on but I've heard some people online dispute it being a real issue, at least for the Great Pyramid itself, but as you can see in pic related, a bunch of the Prehispanic settlement is built overKaminaljuyu is another great example, it's pretty much entirely under Guatemala city right? Obviously Tenochtitlan to in the center of Mexico City

>>220986888No es mamada, si son una entidad por encima de los estados tanto en lo económico, fiscal, constitucional, social, cultural, etc. Al parecer es algo arraigado porque ya lleva así 700 años continuos sin mayor cambio, incluso si el país cambia radicalmente o la ciudad sufre alguna destrucción masiva ahi sigue manteniéndose como la ciudad capital. Lo de estados libres y soberanos es algo muy reciente más siendo palabras bonitas y jamás se ha llevado en completa practica, igual llevamos 700 años o más con territorios subordinados con unas cuantas libertades y hasta ahi.
