Capitalism doesn't work.

It works, just not for you.

It doesn't work and that's ok for those that it works for.

well the goal of capitalism is capital accumulation, so it does work. the fact we are destroying our planet, becoming wageslaves and letting a few people control most of the wealth while millions starve is exactly as capitalism intended to

It works when the government doesn't interfere.
>>
>>220984030
Which happens precisely nowhere because companies usurp power over government when they have enough power. A prime example being the US where you have socialized company losses and consumption of company products but privatized profits.

A system that can never appear is a useless system.
>>
>>220983620
Umm, what do you mean ??? The numbers are going up !! Look at the GDP (PBuH) !!!
>>
it works at perpetuating its own existence
what other objective metric can you judge anything by?
>>

Fascism, unironically. it boils down to being a fine balance of free market capitalism and command economy. Corporatism and class collaboration as opposed to the class struggle of communism or the rule of 1% billionaires like in capitalism.
Companies should work to benefit the nation and its people, not to line the pockets of executives and share holders. No shipping factories off to third world countries to utilize slave labor to avoid paying citizens a fair wage. No importing cheap labor from foreign countries either.

The government, the workers, and the employers working together collectively at the national level to form economic policy. No billionaire lobbyists paying corrupt officials to push policy that benefits only themselves. No party elites forcing you to give up everything you own to the state to be redistributed.

We don't need 100% free market capitalism or 100% marxist command economy. There is a third choice that makes more sense but the elites will destroy you if you ever dare suggest it.

What china is doing where its capitalism but the state can and does buck break corporations at will
Alternatively make all inheritance above 1mil go to the state, so no families can build up too much capital over a long time
>>
>>220983699
legalizing murder, unironically
>>
>>220985787
This would be giga based, but how do you actually enforce that? Unless you go full totalitarian and indoctrinate everyone from birth, there will always be roaches trying to make a quick buck at the expense of their fellow nationals
>>
>>220986097
China already has that system.
>>
>>220986097
It requires a (preferably mono-ethnic) high trust society. There was a time where civics and etiquette were taught and enforced. It would be very difficult to get back to that.
Singapore managed to ascend to some pretty amazing heights using a similar economic model although it's a bit of a fluke due to their strategic location. It was a totalitarian dictatorship during it's rise, and the person in charge made some tough decisions to drag them kicking and screaming out of abject poverty. It still has very harsh rules. That's the only modern example I can think of.
>>
It works for me I have a lot of money (btw South Europe where they spend the GDP on old people pensions is not capitalism, but boomer communism)

The biggest disaster in human history is when those Founding Sissies of the United Gays of America decided to create a whole constitution with democracy and peaceful transfer of power blablabla
That was really the beginning of globohomo when you think about it

Capitalism doesn't mean anything, the definition grows and shrinks to fit the current retarded Marxist's current pilpul and victim complex.
Relatively unregulated markets create wealth and higher standards of living in white cultures, and nothing of consequence otherwise.
>>
>>220984118
It appeared everywhere in the US right up until Marxists started influencing US politics to get candidates in who were "just being practical" instead of being idealistic. Which by some crazy coincidence got us the federal reserve!

Sometimes I wonder how Europeans manage to even breathe.

that's literally fascism
>>

it's a system that needs a robust authoritarian structure behind it. mussolini aimed to build it and he was semi-successful. look up corporatism

It's scary when you're young and you realize that the rest of your adult life will almost definitely be shit and far from what you were hoping for. When I was a kid I thought I would start working straight out of university and buy a huge house after a little so that I can have a big happy family and that I would have recruiters in line waiting to hire me. In reality half of zoomers probably won't even have a family ever and for the most part it's not even their fault. Young people all go to university and learning trades and getting new skills and thinking they're securing their future but as it turns out getting a job is hard as balls no matter how educated and skilled you are and buying a house has become impossible. If you get married you need two good salaries just to get by with one kid while renting a shitty apartment the size of a shoebox. There's genuinely nothing to look forward to because you just know that 10 years from now it will only get worse. You'll probably have to share a one bedroom apartment with another family with all of you sleeping on bunk beds or some shit while your wife sucks her employer's dick in a desperate attempt to keep her job so that you and your kid can have food on the table. And everyone around you will act like everything is fine and that things will go back to normal soon

Capitalism is when workers don't own the means of production.
>>
>>220985787
that's called market socialism and china already practices it
>>
I hate how people conflate capitalism which an economic system, and political ideas about redistribution which is about justice

It’s pretty obvious that free market capitalist systems are the only ways of organizing free trade that truly benefits the most, and even the country on earth with the least market regulation in the US still follows principles of redistribution to the least fortunate, as well as public utilities, or whatnot

i'd be down for trying communism again but this time with the help of computers to set prices and stuff. Maybe once this AI stuff blows over we can use the data centers they built for that
>>
>>220983620
real communism was never tried, prove me wrong
>>
>>220989214
That’s not my point, my point is capitalism and free markets are obviously the best way of organizing trade.

This however does not in any way stand in opposition to redistribution of resources.

It’s a category error to try and pit a process of trade with a principle of fairness, the ”system”
>>
>>220989467
>capitalism and free markets are obviously the best way of organizing trade

my point is you have no way of ascertaining this since we havent tried real communism with computers and shit
>>
I've been on this board since 2013 brehs. Thousands upon thousands of hours wasted.

Communists always turn out to be third worldists whose entire agenda shifts to supporting tinpot dictator instead of actually improving things back home
>>
>>220983653
Supply dwindles, demand slowly dies out. That sounds like things are fine on its own, but capitalism exists on the principle of increasing profits, and every company will have to face the fact-you either go to the extreme measures, like enslaving workforce or organising us invasion into resource heavy countries, or having shareholders pull out. Neoliberalism at its intended extreme, the freer the market the freer ways it can exploit people
>>
>>220983620
Dosent matter its over global capitalism won and will stay forever,we can imagine having planned economies different political structures etc but we will never ever get to have them it will be various variations of lib democracy with variaed levels of cop state.
>>
three words:
capitalism, mercantilism, globalism
these things are all mutually exclusive. if your idea and conception of "capitalism" makes no distinction, a simple matter of fact is that what you are saying is void of meaning. everything out of your mouth will be encrusted in regurgitated nonsense.
>>
>>220983620
There's no system that will ever work because the people running it are retarded.

Trust the plan comrade, the only step missing is the part where the strongman dictaror controlling every facet of socioeconomic activity in the country magically decides to relinquish his power and hand it over to the shelf-filling peasant and office drone.
Then true communism is achieved.
>>
>>220989764
Yeah would be nice if your romanticised idea had any contact with history, but it doesn't. Capitalism became dominant through a series of historical events.
