What do you do for Anzac day in your country? In Australia we just think about Tobruk and New Guinea all day.

>>220986320Wrong war cuntI don't recognise ANZAC Day because we were fighting the Ottoman Empire just so it could fall and Israel could be created by the Britsh. Literally dying for Israel
>>220986668Nah. Your ancestors were forced to fight for the British because at the time, Australia was not fully autonomous and merely a British colony, subservient to the English (let's be real, English) Parliament. The Gallipoli disaster, as conjured up by the military dilettante Churchill, was the seed of Australia and NZ breaking out of the British yoke and becoming independent nations. The break was not yet complete until in WW2, the same Churchill lost Malaya and Singapore and abandoned Australia and NZ to the Japs while still using them as cannon fodder in Africa.

>>220987112didn't read
>>220987112Let me explain your country! Australia chose to fight in the Great War with gusto. Billy Hughes was an ardent imperialist and every single Australian felt a great affection for the mother country back then. It's only a retrospective rewriting of history that Gallipoli was turned into this anti-Commonwealth narrative to divide and conquer. Don't forget that long after the Japs were diminished, we still chose to help Britain quash the Chink insurgency in your cunt.
