When I was a kid I read Pet Sematary and Dracula once per year, and as a result I think the 80's adaptation was really good and that Eggers' Nosferatu was garbage. I think ultimately that the marxist left is reactionary, scrabbling at every structural inconsistency in liberal capitalism, terming every facet of every society as a strictly hierarchical and interrelated facet of 'class' and cheering for the downfall of technological advancement in the form of 'late stage capitalism' so that it can be replaced with a moral ideal as outlined in a Greek text of the 5th century BC. That is terrible, no one should wish for such a world.
I just want to meet a really outgoing and bubbly girl who just happens to not have a bf and maybe I'd have a chance. I have this neighbour who's my friend who's like this, really talkative and friendly. We've hung out a few times just platonically and she is such the yapper I love it. Most girls just completely fail at this or they're awkward at conversation. But she's really interesting and engaging. She's so cute too and she's a few years older than me. Soviet celebrations were archaic, glorying ancient Greek ideals of achievement instead of opening the way for something new. The US, liberal capitalism, came up with rock n' roll and blockbuster cinema and postmodern painting without the state or morality having much of an input into them.
