I miss university.I miss learning. I miss assignments. I miss exams. I miss goofing off between classes. I miss staying late on campus. I miss playing games on my laptop during a slow class. I miss skipping class. Now, I make sure to show up to work right on time. The financial incentive is too strong to ignore. But I’m realizing that it is completely meaningless to me. I am more miserable than ever. I don’t want anything. I don’t care. It’s never coming back.
>>221037893Maybe I’m an incel but I don’t miss 95% of college. I just miss my friends and holiday breaks.
>>221038114Do you enjoy your job?
>>221037893Why don’t you get a job at a research center in your university like I did
>>221038174No, but I didn’t enjoy my classes either and I like my coworkers more than my classmates. Plus the city I live in now is much better than my college town.
>>221038225Too stupid >>221038260That’s reasonable
I'm glad to be done with collegeNow I'm making money
>>221037893I fucking hate university. Stressful retarded bullshit which gives me no time other than doing assignments I hate. If I just decided to do an arts degree I think I would have really loved uni, but I did an engineering degree, and it fucking sucks. Literally nothing interesting about it and the workload is straight ass. I did a few arts courses and I really enjoyed them, they were interesting and fun. Plus the people that do arts degrees don't act like social retards. When I finish I hope to god I never come back, thankfully there is only 6 more months to go.
You can't just go for masters or whatever the fuck.I'm back in college at 32 and it's.... Okay. I actually enjoy talking with zoomers and the whole college vibe but also doing that shit plus work is pretty tough
>>221037893I enjoyed college when it was good but it was genuinely killing me when it was bad. Heart palpitations, constant anxiety and stress, nausea, couldn't even leave the house some days. I don't miss it.
I'm going to do a master's soon but overseas since Australia doesn't have a uni that offers the degree.I hope it goes well but I don't even speak the language of the country.
>>221038452this. uni sucks dick if you're a stemcel
>>221039763I heard CS has become normie now.My friend in IT showed me pic of his company's interns and it has many bubbly girls and extroverted boys.
I only work 30 hours a week but I'm extremely glad to be free from university. I hated constantly having to think about deadlines and needing to study for exams whereas with work I just show up and do my work and that's it, sometimes they want me to come in an extra day or stay back.I do enjoy studying though, I study for 2 hours every day using a timer.
>>221039844CS became really popular in the last 2000s. It's going down though because of AI shenanigans.
>>221037893>I miss assignments. I miss exams.couldn't be me>I miss learning.l learn more now than I did when I was in school, especially considering the quality of the "education" I received in "school".
>>221039875Also university killed any desire I had to learn and improve whilst I was there.Within 6 months I went from wanting to learn to only caring about passing my classes and being too exhausted to do anything else.
