are sports in general dying out in popularity in your country?I feel like young people are becoming less interested in sports than they've ever been before. Of course, I'm probably just in a bubble.
Children are weak little faggots, don't understand the value of learning teamwork, respect is not learned or reciprocated and they have a reluctance to be active especially if it is pushing one's physical limits. And sweat is gross :)
>>221108164Youth sports are just unpaid part time labor, except for the consolation prize of a lottery draw for getting a scholarship coupon for a cheaper college (with the full knowledge that college degrees do not affect job prospects)With looksmaxxing and male bimbofication stuff being still a little bit nascent in their prescience, but nonetheless dominating the health/fitness headspace of the youth today, I think youth sports are going to die out and head towards bodybuilding coaching, HGH + Ozempic clinics for gender-affirming care, etc. >>221108247>the value of learning teamworkNo value in teamwork in a low-trust society thougheverbeit >respect is not learned or reciprocatedThere is no respect going either way
>>221108297>>respect is not learned or reciprocated>There is no respect going either wayDurrrrr that's the problem, you don't learn respect, you don't show respect, you don't receive respect. I'd even go as far as to say you aren't worthy of respect because you're a little bitchass who can't handle running for 5 minutes.
>>221108320Running (at walking pace) is actually one of the most efficient exercises you can do, because you can effectively do it indefinitely. Combined with very specific HIIT exercise you could really snap a fat kid's metabolism and fat burn into high gear. If I were to open a kid's sports center, it would primarily be full of manual treadmills affixed with big ipads that played cocomelon skibidi toilet or whatever on soft comfortable bluetooth over-ear headphones. >Durrrrr that's the problem, you don't learn respect, you don't show respect, you don't receive respectThis country and civilization is completely morally insolvent. There is no regard for things like respect, culture, glory, etc. Maybe in the 2000s, kids still watched hollywood movies with fat boxing coaches talking about glory, or a baseball team winning with the power of friendship with a shimmering tear in one eye, but it's 2026 bud. If everything and everyone in life is an opposing agent set in competition with each other and trying to maximize gain, exploit, and make profit out of each other, then there simply cannot be any respect learned, shown, or received in the first place. Any and all manners, etiquette, sportsmanship, respect, etc is nominal and worth nothing in substance to a young person because this is how the baby boomers, gen x, and millennials decided the west should be.
>>221108164"Dying" is a massive exaggeration, but they are declining.
When I’m driving around my (rich) neighborhood I see kids playing basketball, soccer and baseballMaybe it’s in a decline elsewhere because it’s too expensive. Definitely the case for hockey
