Everyone on Instagram looks like they're having fun anon. Hell I travel as well I could probably manage to make myself look like my life is all in order if I had Instagram. The actual thing that makes me seethe is looking them up on LinkedIn and seeing that they work at good companies or moved abroad

I unfollowed all the girls I had bad pasts with or, for one reason or another, just didn't want to spend time looking at or thinking about. I had a lot of these super-crushing, hyper-intense infatuations when I was a teenager, so a rule I made for myself when I was older is that if a woman doesn't seem interested, I'd just delete her number, remove her socials, and move on. If she wanted more, she'd follow up (and some of them did). Now I'm married so none of it matters.
