>>221125150I enjoyed Death Stranding for the most part, my only real gripe was the vehicles, in a game all about traversing rough terrain you'd expect realistic off-road vehicle handling, something akin to the mudrunner series, but the game features the most bare-bones, 90's ass vehicle system I've ever experienced, movement and rotation is heavily clamped in all directions, collision detection is obviously just a big cube, the vehicles have no real suspension, no manual transmission, durability is nothing you have to think about, in order to max score every delivery you just have to ping-pong your Akira bike against every rock and drive straight up a cliff to get to the delivery point, the game is most fun just skipping vehicles all together which is frustrating because I know how much documentation, references and templates there are out there, someone at kojimbo HQ could've easily whipped up a better vehicle system in just a few days but someone over there clearly wanted the vehicles to handle like ass for whatever reason.
i used to but not anymore. the kind of games i like are just not really made at all, gamers don't like the settings i'd like to see, which means 99% of games don't interest me.i even tried getting into game development, but i wasn't successful and gamedev turned me off gaming even more.
