>>221142113Don't go to Paris. It's a bad idea, just because you'll end up with the same retarded tourists everywhere and lose money on overpriced everything... It's not the best experience, I get why people want to visit Paris and it's exactly why it's a bad idea.Rouen why not. Nice cathedral, close to other interesting territories. If you want a vanilla French experience it's a very good pick.If you want to experience France coming from far away you should look for seasonal work such as for instance picking grapes in the vineyards during September/October when it's still sunny and warm and people are back to work, so you get many advantages :- you recoup the cost of the flight (bonus if you get housed for free)- you meet people- you get the pure 'terroir' experience- no retarded tourists- good wine at the endI met an English guy who visited Australia doing this, working in a vineyard to tank the travel cost, then had a bit of fun on the side before coming home. And I met him picking grapes too, dude had his technique. Every year, vineyards are in dire need of workers, there's a good chance you'll find regional programs for that for foreigners.
