I wish I lived in a home that didn't have shared walls with a neighbor. One consolation I have is that I don't live in an apartment building. People don't realize how much noise travels through walls, and over time it only gets worse because of material fatigue.

I think the complain was more about urban planning part of the suburb but somehow got astroturfed to "muh single family homes" by Yimbys and no-car-fags. Its like how China faces the same problem as a suburb in the US but its fine because its all highrises, and now we are building stuff with similar density as Chinese mega-blocks.
