Is it just me, or has everyone become much more bitter and hateful these days? I know there have always been assholes, but in the past decade or so, especially since covid, I feel like the moral character of the average person has rapidly declined. I suspect it’s a combination of people spending more time online where you’re incentivized to be cruel anonymously, the economy being shit, the rise of blumpf, and new outbreaks of wars everywhere. But it really does seem like everyone is just a dickhead now for no reason at all, and it’s a negative death spiral making everyone more and more miserable.

people in real life are fine but everyone on the internet is just mad all the time

Canada is like this but it's pretty much the USA 2.0. People on 4chudz are nicer than people here irl.

Muh le heckin positivity
Id rather people be pissy and externalize everything than be doormats and take the knee and force themselves into toxic positivity as a social standard
