I get misty eyed thinking about how glorious HELLAS used to be. Macedonia was it's final cultural expression as an empire, the end phase of its life cycle as a civilization, before it fell apart and hordes of foreigners poured into Greece and whittled away the blood and bone that made the Greek people excellent. Whether China ever achieved anything as culturally striking is subjective, but the Chinese blood still runs strong and nearly as pure as it did in the time of the Shang, which is something no other great civilization can lay claim to.
