Why do Americans believe the dangerous Australian wildlife meme? Euros I get because they have basically nothing dangerous to humans there anymore, but Americans have:
>various species of bear
>mountain lions
>wolves
>alligators
>venomous snakes
>venomous spiders
Meanwhile we have:
>venomous spiders (no fatalities since 1979)
>venomous snakes (more dangerous, but still not many fatalities)
>crocodiles (just stay away from the water in a few remote areas and you're safe)

>snakes
We got cascabel snakes, they are so big that they poison you AND may break your ankles with the force
>crocs
We got alligators and yucatan crocs, maybe not as big as salt water crocs but still dangerous
>black widows
We got them too.
See? Australia isnt that special

It's just spiders and snakes. Americans have guns for everything else

Because you have more remote land than us, by percentage at least.
Sure we have those things but mostly on our various huge nature reserves.
As far as we're aware not all of your continent is reserved, but if you live outside of five cities, including anywhere inland, you'll get murdered by a herd of funny beasts many of which are entirely alien to us due to the Maginot line.
Sure we have half of the most venomous things in the world and some of the most vicious predators because most of the land out west is still undeveloped, but it's mostly undeveloped because it's a reserve. We have lots of huge cities in-land. When we think of our predators we think of their endangered status, and weirdly most of them are more similar to things found in Europe than most of your animals are, even though they crossed via the Alaskan land bridge incomprehensibly long ago, it seems like Australia was more completely isolated for longer. A lot of our wildlife even seems more similar to European wildlife than to Asian wildlife, which again makes no sense at all to me but is what it is.

Also I'd pet a polar bear, what's the worst that could happen

You even even a plant that if human touch it, will die if prolonged tim without treatment. I read it once on the internet.
I can't remember the name
Even the fucking plants can kill you in Australia!

It's kinda funny that it's right next to New Zealand where the wildlife is completely harmless
They have no native species of snakes, no large predators and the only species of venomous spider is almost disappearing
