Peru has the most fished species on earth (Engraulis ringens, its used for making fish flour, which is also used to feed other fish species in aquaculture), this country is also corrupt af so even though we all know about chinese ships constantly breaking into our EEZ nobody does shit about this. Most of the actually legal companies that harvest fish here are financed by chinese capital anyways so they are probably not kicking them out any time soon. I'm not sure how OP's dad got killed by chinese fishing ship (assuming he's not making stuff up for his own agenda) , even if it was an illegal one, while there have been some confrontations between chinese ships and the peruvian navy, I haven't personally heard of any one of these turning violent but I could be wrong.
