What other country besides China or North/South Korea dislikes Japan, or at least indifferent? They are admired worldwide, with the biggest weebs arguably being the French, Brazilians, Southeast Asians, and Indians.

If you were poor even in the middle east you could still watch tokusatsu, shonen, or kaiju media. So any country without access to broadcasting, it was that pervasive even Central Asian and North African countries were watching Japanese media.

>>221310190We aren't "weebs". We really like Japan, not just because of anime. Japan was responsible for our economic miracle in the 80-90s. We were also exposed to japanese cartoons and tv series long before it became common in the West, so much so that we don't differentiate Jap anime against western cartoons. They were all just cartoons to us.
