use cyrillic.

Dlaczego powinniśmy używać pisma mongolskiego?

passed out on keyboard ahh language

Why? It's worse for polish than latin, but we probably should add more diacritics

OK, tbf modified cyrillic would make more sense than the current Hussite Czech writing with minor adaptations. But good luck transcribing over half a millenium worth of literature and retraining 40+mln current users of the language. Both monetarily and motivationally unfeasible.

Aren't all the Central Asian -Stans switching to more Turk-like alphabets now?

Poland never used cyrylic, and never wanted to use it even if russian empire was shilling it. And no, cyrylic is not a "slav alphabet" or is "objectively better", it's just modified greek, same as our current alphabet has some more letters to represent sounds better.
Cyrilic is also a completely useless alphabet, only 3rd world shitholes use it, while all the most important languages use latin alphabet.
>inb4 muh slav languages are not compatible with latins
Insert soyak face with germanic languages having modified alphabet with these double dots above u and o which is completely natural compared to our "not compatible ś or ż".
>>

>already happening in the balkans
Latin is as much part of our language as cyrillic is.
>>
>>221316544
Wait i though we use czech wrtiting while poles have their unique retarded latin scrip?

Not my problem, we got baptized solely through and for Czech princess pussy, and that comes with an alphabet

don't bother, we had this thread dozens of times, it's just bait and the only reasonable response is shitposting and random insults

FYI, we prefer to use Latin online, in my case I write cyrillic at home and used to write even cursive at school all the time.
But if I am talking on chan I use Latin because ex-Yus chime in and I consider it stupid for me to write in cyrillic if I am talking to Croats.
Country generally uses Latin due to the fact that it's also our alphabet plus it's more intelligible for foreigners, it also got much more popular under communism but afaik it wasn't really forced, as I have some books from that era in cyrillic.
>>
>>221322522
you're biased and it's showing. we had Cyrillic. guess what: it marked better palatalization and other minor spellings than the current Latin alphabet does. while it's indeed useless to argue if polish is fitted better for cyrilic or latin, it's also dumb to say Cyrillic is useless
>>
>>221324117
latin language in cyrillic is a complete abomination
>>
>>221324286
this is what other anons think about your slavic language written in latin alphabet you clown

usage of the cyrillic alphabet is a sure mark of an utter shithole

Idk, isn't Russia the largest country in the world that also colonized space and did cool things? They write in cyrillic. Purely objective standpoint.

I'm neutral, I am just looking for decent arguments against my viewpoint. I also have like 15 books from Russian authors on my shelf, though they're not my most favourite, I just don't know what countries bordering Russia really gave to the world.
>>
>>221320108
Never happening, Cyrillic isn't even Russian. It's BULLGARIAN.
>>
>>221323633
Polish writing system is an uninterruptedly updated continuation of a mid-15th century adaptation of Hussite Czech.

Hence all the redundant spelling (ż-rz, ó-u, h-ch), which used to be pronounced differently at the time, but have by now converged to the same sound. And we refuse to commit to a single variant for each case, because it would invalidate over 500 years of texts. Nevermind a wholesale adoption of cyrillic.

I'm pretty sure the latin variant of SCBM is also based on Czech, but from a later period, once they did some reforms to their writing.

juri gagarin doesnt make that place not a shithole. India too has nukes and a space program launching satellites and probes on the moon
>>
>>221324999
I don't care if Russia is a shithole or not, that's their problem, they can always vote for someone else if they mind Putin.
>>
>>221322413
yes, Kazakhstan has recently started to switch to Latin. Uzbekistan decided to in the 90s but is somehow still in the process. Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan already switched.
Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia still use Cyrillic.
>>
>>221325792
Why would they switch to Latin? I thought they don't have history of using it. They must have had some pre-Cyrillic script, right?
>>
>>221325881
they used Arabic script before Cyrillic (except Mongolian had its own unique script) but it was never great for Turkic languages from what I understand. they're just following Turkey's lead finally.

Tajikistan speaks a Persian language so maybe it would be best there to go back to Arabic script and match with the rest of the Persian world. the Soviets artificially tried to make their language different from Afghanistan and Iran.

Mongolia actually just brought back their old script as co-official with Cyrillic so that could be a sign of things to come.
