No one gives a shit about poverty ball here. When I was growing up it was an organized sport for the poor kids who's families couldn't afford hockey or football gear, but no one takes soccer seriously as a professional sport.

my town is getting a soccer club and ive got no idea who's funding it but the goddamn pitch is taking up a solid tenth of the park. and we've already got a baseball field and clubs associated with that, we have basketball and tennis courts. Why soccer? What next, handball?
