Korean armor is characterized by an iron plate inside the clothes.

It's to protect the iron plate from the outside environment and prevent it from sticking to your hands in winter.

For some reason we didn't really use armor all that much. just some chainmail at best. probably because it's too hot and you'd die of exhaustion first if you go into battle with heavy armor.
